I want it so bad I shoot the sunshine into my veins.

I went to see the <s>vampires</s> Donate Blood people in <s>their bat cave</s> Manukau on Monday.

I dripping wet when I got there LOL I filled out their forms (No I'm not a prostitute and I don't have HIV or any other infectious disease that effects the blood and no I wasn't in England or any other neighboring country during the Mad Cow epidemic). I was then taken into a small room with a desk and a lady talked about things above that I do not suffer from she then <s>violently stabbed my finger</s> pricked my finger to <s>smell my blood</s> test it for Iron something-or-rather then she gave me three laminated sheets of information that is important for people to read before <s>the vampires suck your blood</s> you donate. One of them was the possible side effects, which I didn't think I would suffer from. I tried the electric scales in that room as well (obviously for people who may not weigh enough) because my mums ones are old and lie to me :P but these scales were even more offensive, they said "Err!" twice so I swore at it then left to find my self a spare <s>vampire changing bed</s> donating bed, the a different lady told me how to get up. She used a pump thing to tighten around my arm while I squeezed a rather tough red blood drop toy thing, she then started to prod at my arm looking for veins, she then shook her head and took her little table to my right side and did the same thing, she asked if I'd eaten anything recently, I said, "I had breakfast!" (truthfully I'm almost always dehydrated :P I did have Wheet Bix though). She gave up and decided on my right arm anyway, then I saw the <s>vampire teeth</s> needle! I had no idea they were that thick/large. I'm not afraid of needles but this thing? it was about 2mm thick. I thought to myself, "I sure hope thats the needle that goes in the back of a smaller needle" but it wasn't. The needle only hurt for a second and it was a tiny pain throughout the whole thing, the neat part was then how my blood just <s>squirted all over the vampire</s> went shooting through the tube and into a bag and the ladies trolley/table thing. The bag was rocking on a tray thing, the lady said it was to stop it from clotting and drying up and stuff.

There was an old guy who'd started after me and was on my left, he had two daughters with him, they weren't interested in giving blood but didn't mind walking around and helping them selves to stickers. They went outside to smoke and I thought, if they had given blood they wouldn't have been allowed to smoke for an hour afterward. I lol'd.
I had been told to continue squeezing the red toy, I'm not very strong so it wasn't doing much, the old guy on the other hand was squeezing the life out of it.
My machine beeped and the Indian guy stopped what ever he needed to stop and pulled the needle out. He had already made me a hot chocolate and I went to have a seat where the hot chocolate and free biscuits were :P I was 3/4 of my way through a chocolate biscuit when I started to feel a little nauseous, I then remembered the side effect thing I had read and queue panic attack I was able to hide it from the ladies for a couple of minutes but the lady at the front desk asked me if I was alright and the tears started (lol, it's funny now by the way) and I told them I was nauseous. They jumped up, one grabbed a tea towel from the mini kitchen directly to my right and the other went to get a towel/blanket thing and a vomit bag. I got over the panic attack and half way through the tears when I told them I didn't think I wasn't going to spew I just felt like it (because there is a difference!) :P. They moved my hot chocolate and threw away the rest of the biscuit and replaced it with a cup of water which I drank happily (the things I'd read said keeping hydrated was important for blood replenishing) the nausea calmed down and the blanket/towel and vomit bag were removed. I put my cardy back on because I was cold.
Through out the whole episode the two ladies (who were old-ish) kept telling me how well I was doing because it was my first time, they kind of treated me like a child, lol. Then Craig, the guy who had called me, showed up, they asked me how I got here, I bussed and walked and that was my plan to get home until I lost all my energy. Craig said he'd take me when I was feeling better.
I drank my hot chocolate and had a chocolate free biscuit. The old guy and his two daughters were sitting across from me, one of them pulled something out of his little blood donator bag and said, as if she'd read it off the thing she'd just pulled out, "You've donated one hundred times??" the old guy nodded calmly like it was no big feat. I couldn't see what the thing was but I want one :P.
I got a free pen and lots of little brochures about how happy they are that I gave blood and how I could save a minimum of three lives. There was also a voucher in it saying, "this voucher entitles you to a free key chain the second time you give blood". It even has your blood type on it =D
I read somethings on the kitchen bench wall about where blood goes after it's been <s>sucked out of you</s>. There were also four profiles on the wall about people who had received bone marrow transplants. One boy, a year younger than me, had died because there had been none suitable to his type.
I started to get my stuff ready and nodded to Craig that I was ready to go.
We went in a van that had "NZBlood" written on the side :P.
He told me that my blood, because of it's type (O-. No blood proteins and no Rhesus factor) was given to babies and that my blood would be split into eight. He didn't say it, but when I got home I started to gloat that I saved eight babies :P LOL. I felt tired for the rest of the day. Thats it! My arm has a little red dot on it but doesn't hurt, my finger still hurts though :P that little stab is so funny.

Check out this website to find out how important your blood typed is

I volunteer at a Kindy :P but thats cheating because I need a centre to volunteer/work at for study purposes. I think it still counts :P
I don't donate like rich people do, or suckered people do. I donate when there's something I get in return :P (which I know sounds horrible but you shall see). One time I was in line at The Warehouse, the cashier asked the lady in front of me if she'd like to buy a $3 pen, she said no and paid with a credit card. I was on budget, but like usual at The Warehouse, things were cheaper than I'd thought, Cashier asked me the same question **cue thoughtful look** yeah ok! I said. <s>I can't remember where the money</s> I just pulled the pen out now. The money went to the Metal Health Association. The most recent was Jarrans money - my choice. six wrist bands for $2 to support YouthLine. =D
Stuff like that :)

Going east to Unitec, Mount Albert.

The sad things about withdrawing my application to do my Degree at Unitec = Having things near by. Building 180 was where I would be studying if I went to Unitec. I had to go there to sign a paper and find out the process of refunding my Cross Credit fee.

I thought you should see the back of the Unitec Marae because I haven't shown you much of what being a Kiwi is like. A Marae is a Maori meeting place. I love Maori art and this is one nice Marae. Not a traditional one, mind you :P

High school students everywhere it was one packed train going west to Glen Eden. Going to get some bits and pieces from the house I moved out of over the weekend.

I got to the "old house" :P (I usually call it by it's street name) only to find my BF's mum and her granddaughter there. (My BF's older brothers daughter, 19 month old Juelz, pronounced Jew-ellz)

Katrina offered me a ride back to South Auckland. Had a fun ride back with happy & kicking Juelz.

Got to the BF's old house, which they're moving back into. (Everyone's business seems to be in South Auckland.) Juelz, Tyreece, me and the BF Jarran and Juelz not happy that were cuddling each other and not her. It's actually really amusing how she has a tantrum over that.

This next bit is funny, Juelz came out of nowhere and just sat on her brothers back.

Cutting the post short. We had KFC for dinner. Tried to put Juelz to sleep myself, had a "yes" "nah" "yes" "nah" fight with a 19 month old :P and gave up. Juelz's dad and the BF took me home to my Mum, sis, bro and comfortably messy room =D

My apologies for not getting this in sooner. Mozilla kept disappearing. It just couldn't handle the sheer weight of it all :P swapped to Safari. x-posted in my own journal and made public for shits and giggles. Photobucket folder

I'm sorry to a few people...
There was a friends cut, with cutting involved.....
I had a couple people added I couldn't remember how I added them and then there were people who didn't comment and stuff like that. I'm sure if you've been cut it won't hurt you (lol that sounds so stupid) because I only cut people who obviously didn't read my journal much/at all.
I'm not breaking up with you or anything but I'm still sorry if your offended.
There will be a follow up post, if you can see it, you have not been cut. Because I love you. =D
I was afraid of a lot of things as a child. Dust, insects, vacuum cleaners :P But what parents don't know is that children listen to the news too and the Green House Affect was just getting into swing and bad things were starting to happen, I started to think, will the planet make it until I've passed away? Will there be a planet for my children and my children's children? Obviously now, I have more faith, but I still think the earth's future is grim... Oh and by dust I mean when you live in a house with wooden floors, hair and dust build up so when you sweep it up there's this big collection of the stuff :P

Who else is going to do it??? Or are you suggesting that the communities themselves sort it out? That's not going to happen, they would be happy to stay marrying off children. And it's easy to decide if a marriage is unfair or not, separate the couple and interview them, I would totally beg the government to save me, but there would be situations where the female would be told to act like she is in love, in those situations you would be able to tell she is uncomfortable.

I am sorry if I have no idea what I'm talking about :P
